Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Shadow Modz. By using our services or purchasing our products, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.

At Shadow Modz, we believe in transparency, professionalism, and mutual respect with every customer. The following terms explain how we operate, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you before booking or purchasing.

Bookings & Deposits

* Deposit amounts vary depending on the service or product and are determined at the discretion of Shadow Modz.
* All deposits are non-refundable, except in cases where Shadow Modz has not incurred any costs.
* Customers may reschedule a booking once without losing the deposit, provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
* Same-day bookings are accepted where availability allows and still require a deposit to confirm.

Cancellations

* A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a booking.
* Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the deposit being retained.
* If a product has been specially ordered and cannot be returned to the supplier, the deposit is non-refundable.
* If the product can be returned and cancellation is made more than 24 hours in advance, a refund may be issued minus any supplier or admin costs.
* If Shadow Modz needs to cancel, a full refund will be offered, with rebooking preferred where possible.

Refunds & Returns

* Refunds and returns are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the product and situation.
* No refunds are provided once a product has been fitted, unless agreed at Shadow Modz’ sole discretion.
* Faulty products will be assessed and may be repaired, replaced, or refunded where applicable.
* Reinstallation for approved replacements is free unless liability falls on the customer.
* Warranty terms vary by product and may include a labour warranty where applicable.
* Proof of fault may be required before any resolution.

Payment Terms

* Full payment is required on the day of fitting or collection, unless a prior agreement or finance option has been arranged.
* We accept:
Cash, Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Card, Klarna, Clearpay, PayPal

Warranty

* Warranties vary by product but most include a minimum 1-year warranty unless otherwise stated.
* Manufacturer warranties are passed directly to the customer.
* Warranty inspections are conducted free of charge.
* Not all Shadow Modz supplied products carry a warranty.

Access & Customer Responsibilities

* Vehicles must be delivered to our workshop at 189C Brent Crescent, NW10 7XR at the agreed time.
* Customers must ensure the vehicle is accessible and free of personal items that may obstruct installation.
* Proof of vehicle ownership and ID may be required for certain products or services.

Liability & Damage

1. Inspection Required

If a customer believes damage has occurred during or after a Shadow Modz installation, Shadow Modz must be given the first opportunity to inspect the issue at our premises.
No third-party inspections, diagnostics, or repairs are permitted before this inspection.

2. In-House Assessment & Repairs

Shadow Modz operates with an in-house team trained in diagnostics, electrical systems, mechanical work, and bodywork.
If damage is confirmed to have been caused by Shadow Modz, our team will attempt to resolve the issue at no cost to the customer.

3. No Liability for Unauthorised Repairs

Shadow Modz will not accept liability for any repair costs, invoices, or work carried out by third parties without prior written authorisation from Shadow Modz management.
Unauthorised repairs automatically void all liability.

4. Approved Partner Garages

If an issue cannot be resolved in-house, Shadow Modz may authorise repairs through one of our selected partner garages only.

5. Liability Confirmation

Submitting a claim does not mean liability is accepted.
Liability is confirmed only after full inspection and assessment by Shadow Modz.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:
* Report issues within a reasonable timeframe
* Allow Shadow Modz access for inspection
* Not dismantle, modify, or attempt repairs themselves

Customer-Supplied Products

* Customer-supplied products are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
* Labour warranty depends on the quality and compatibility of the supplied product.
* If a customer-supplied product is faulty, labour charges may apply for removal or refitting.

Aftercare & Support

* Aftercare support is available via phone or email.
* We aim to respond to queries and complaints within the same working day.
* Any refunds issued as part of a resolution are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

GDPR & Data Privacy

* We may store customer names, contact details, and vehicle information where required.
* All stored data is protected using encrypted systems.
* Customer data may be shared with Global Telemetrics only with explicit consent and in line with GDPR requirements.

​

Social Media & Media Use

* We may take photos or videos of completed work for marketing purposes.
* Permission is requested before posting identifiable customer property.
* Vehicle registration plates are always blurred or censored unless we ask permission from the customer not to.
